You are the primary shaper and mover in your child’s life and we want to partner with you as you parent and disciple your child. As a first step, here are some resources that cover child development, catechism, and Bibles that our team recommends to help equip you in this journey.

Child Development/Parenting:

  • Don’t Miss It: Reminds parents that phases are not just periods of time to be survived, but opportunities to be maximized. It gives parents a simple strategy for parenting every week like it counts. It can help you reprioritize your time with your kids; it may even change how you see your kids and yourself. (And because parents are busy, it's designed to take an hour or less to read.)

  • Phase Guides: You have approximately 936 weeks from the time your child is born until he or she graduates from high school. Phase Guides are an 18-part series of concise and interactive journal-style books that simplify what parents need to know about each phase of a kid’s life and gives you the opportunity to discover more about your children—so you can make the most of every phase.

  • Are My Kids On Track: Helps you identify and measure 12 key emotional, social, and spiritual milestones in your children's lives. Moreover, you will discover practical ways to guide your kids through any stumbling blocks they might encounter and help them reach the appropriate landmarks. Along the way the authors pinpoint the different ways boys and girls develop, so you can help your child flourish in his or her own way.

  • God Made All of Me: This simply told, beautifully illustrated story helps two- to eight-year-olds understand why their bodies matter and distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate touch. God Made All of Me gently opens a conversation that every family needs to have.

Bibles:

  • Jesus Storybook Bible: This is a great Bible that not only helps your children, but you as well; see the thread of Jesus throughout the Big Story of Scripture.

  • Adventure Bible for Early Readers (NIrV): Takes you on a fun, exciting journey through God’s Word. Along the way you’ll meet all types of people, see all sorts of places, and learn all kinds of things about the Bible. Most importantly, you’ll grow closer in your relationship with God. (Great for Early Elementary Students)

  • Kids’ Devotional Bible (NIrV): Complete with a year’s worth of devotions, and will help children develop a habit they’ll want to keep. Engaging weekday devotions, fun weekend activities, interesting illustrations, and a dictionary make this a Bible they’ll want to read and apply to their lives. (Great for Preteens)
