Sertoma Duck Race Tickets

Duck Race tickets are on sale and we have some at Cassidy. This yearly event benefits Care to Learn, Least of These and other local missions. This year’s race weekend is June 19 & 20 at Finley River Park in Ozark. Many activities are available for a fun weekend topped off on Saturday afternoon with the duck race. The fastest 15 ducks will win some great prizes including the first place prize of a 2026 Chevy Silverado truck. One duck costs $10, a family of ducks (6 tickets) is $50, and a flock of ducks (13 tickets) is $100. Get yours soon.

VBS Registration

This year’s theme is Christmas Cookies (Christmas in July). The dates are July 20-24 from 6:00-8:00 each evening. A light dinner will be served at 5:30. Invite your friends and neighbors to join us as we learn about how God brought everything together perfectly with the birth of Jesus. Family night will be Friday the 24th (just like Christmas Eve!)

Youth Ballpark Camp Fundraiser

The youth is planning a special ‘Ball Park Day’ on Sunday, June 7. They will be providing ball park food (hot dogs, nachos, etc) and a silent auction to raise funds for students going to the Unite Youth Camp this summer. Wear your favortie team gear or jersey. Come by or stay between/after services to enjoy the food and bid on silent auction items. They have some outstanding items you will want to bid on including a donation from Mitchum Jewelers and Springfield Cardinal tickets, plus much more. Bidding on auction items will end at 12:15 pm. ‍ ‍

Cassidy Women

All ladies are invited to join the Cassidy Women at their June meeting, Tuesday, June 9 as they enjoy a lunch meeting at the Baked Bean in Nixa. This sandwich/coffee shop is located at 1860 N Commerce Drive. The lunch will begin at 11:30. If you would like to carpool, please meet at the church at 11:15. The Baked Bean offers a variety of breakfast and sandwich items along with wonderful baked goodies. We have menus and maps in the office if you would like to pick up. Please let us know on the tear-off or RSVP to the office so we can let them know how many will attend. There will be musical entertainment following the lunch.

Youth Camp Fundraiser

Cassidy Youth has another opportunity to raise funds for camp. All are invited to go to Bambinos Italian restaurant, 2810 E Battlefield, Springfield, on Monday, May 22 between 4:00-9:00 pm and have dinner. They will donate 10% of all proceeds during those hours to the Cassidy Youth. It couldn’t be easier to support the youth and have a great dinner.

Family Hike/Popsicles and Splash Pad

The Children’s Department will host a family hike at the Ozark Community Center on Saturday, June 6 starting at 9:00 am. All are invited. They will also be at the Nixa Splash Pad on Sunday, June 14 from 3:00-5:00 pm.

Christian County Cares Free Bingo

A free bingo afternoon to benefit Christian County Cares will be here at the church on Saturday, June 6 beginning at 2:00 pm. Play bingo, enjoy some food and also a silent auction.

Deodorant Collection

Cassidy is partnering with Ozark Schools to provide hygiene items for their Back to School Bash for the 2026-27 school year. They have asked us to collect 800 deodorants (stick or spray) that will be given to students as part of their hygiene packs. This is one of those daily needs that a lot of students go without. We hope to collect the 800 by the end of June.
