Least of These Collection

During the month of September, we will be collecting money and food items for Least of These during their ‘Bag Hunger’ campaign. Grocery bags with information about Least of These and specific items they need are available in the entryway. You may either fill a bag and return to the church or donate funds for their cause. Bags and funds need to be returned by Sunday, October 5. Please make checks to Cassidy Church and we will send one check to Least of These.

Charge Conference

Our annual charge conference for the Methodist Church is scheduled for Sunday, October 12 at noon. This will be a zoom meeting in the chapel. This annual meeting with the district superintendent is to approve our local church committees and the pastor’s salary. All members are invited.

Christian County Cares Trivia Night

The Christian County Cares group has scheduled a Trivia Night on Friday, October 17 at 6:00 hera at the church. Watch the bulletin and announcements for more information.

Cassidy Women’s Fall Garage & Bake Sale

The Cassidy Women will have their annual garage & bake sale on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, Oct. 16-18. They are asking for donations of fall and Christmas decor, home decor, kitchen items, small appliances, furniture, tools, etc. (Please no clothing) Donations can be dropped off at church starting Monday, Oct. 13th. The ladies are also asking for donations of baked goods which can be dropped off at church starting Wednesday, Oct. 15th. Please label your baked goods as to what they are and if they have nuts or peanut butter. On Friday, Oct. 17th, the ladies will offer a soup lunch from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for a donation. Please plan to attend the sale and join us for lunch. proceeds from the sale will be distributed to local charities. Thanks you so much for your support.

Church-Wide Fall Event

We are planning a church-wide soup pot-luck lunch followed by our Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 26. Following the lunch will be our Trunk or Treat. We hope to have lots of decorated trunks. If you would like to participate but do not want to decorate a trunk yourself, the youth will decorate your trunk for a donation. There will also be games to participate in during the Trunk or Treat time. Soon we will be asking what you can bring for the soup lunch. We will need different kinds of soup, crackers or cornbread, along with a variety of desserts. This should be a fun day for young and old. Candy Collection- we will also be collecting bags of candy for the Trunk or Treat and the Halloween Event at Cassidy Station on Oct. 23. You can start bringing in candy at any time. Let us know on the tear-off if you plan to attend and will be providing a trunk.
