Sunday School Class

Yvonne McFarland’s Sunday school class will starts TODAY. They will be doing a 13-week study by Dr. David Jeremiah called “Agents of Babylon”. In this study, they will explore the prophecies, dreams, and visions outlined in the book of Daniel, explain what they mean and how they apply to our world today. Class meets in Classroom A at 9:15 am. All are invited to attend.

Apple Pie Time

Fall is approaching and it is time to make apple pies. Only 200 pies will be made. They are $12 each. Order forms are at the Welcome Desk. The apples are ready so the plan is to make the pies on Thursday, Sept 10 beginning at 8:00 am. If you can help make pies, please sign up on the tear-off. Many volunteers make the job so much easier. Also, get your orders in soon.

Cassidy Women

Due to the hot weather, the Cassidy Women’s group has postponed their Japanese Garden trip unti their October meeting date of Tuesday, Oct. 13. They will have their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1:00 pm.

Methodist Men - will have their monthly breakfast meeting on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 8:30. All men are invited.

Church Hike at the OC

The Children’s dept. will host a hike at the Ozark Community Center starting at 9:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 12. Anyone from the church is welcome.

Christian County Cares Car Show

Christian County Cares will host a car show at Cassidy on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9:00-2:00. There will be food, awards, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. If you have a car you would like to show, you can pre-register at

Youth Pancake Breakfast

Cassidy Youth will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 20 between services beginning at 10:00 am. They will serve pancakes w/syrup, sausage, fruit & drinks. Donations are appreciated for use with the youth’s projects and programs.

Fall Mum Fundraiser

Cassidy is partnering with Wheeler Gardens to sell mums as a fundraisher for the church. You can purchase a voucher here at the church and take it to Wheeler Gardens to receive your mum. Two sizes are available: 2 gallon jumbo hardy mum for $20 or 6” potted hardy mum for $12. The mums will be available from September 1 - October 11. See the office to purchase your voucher. These are good at either Wheeler Gardens locations; 1925 S Bedford, Springfield or 454 State Hwy EE, Ozark

Cassidy Women Garage & Bake Sale

The ladies’ garage & bake sale has been scheduled for October 22-24. They are looking for nice, gently used fall & Christmas decor, other home decor, kitchen items, etc. (no clothes) They will be setting up the week of October 19. Please start collecting items you can donate, however we do not have space to store items. You may bring items beginning October 19.
